TradeEngine

Pragma TradeEngine® is our next-generation algorithmic trading platform. It provides a full suite of the most sophisticated algorithms available anywhere in a robust, high-performance platform.

TradeEngine supports Dynamic Portfolio Management (DPM) by enabling traders and portfolio managers to quantify and express their true trading objectives. TradeEngine computes accurate risk, impact and opportunity costs and solves for optimal trade schedules. To make these calculations, TradeEngine relies on a large database of historical high-frequency data and Pragma’s suite of market microstructure models.

While executing optimal-execution trading schedules, TradeEngine employs a high-frequency dynamic microtrader that optimally times, positions and routes individual limit and market orders, reacting in real time to changing market conditions. Microtrading discretion controls allow users to dictate how closely the individual executions stick to the planned trade schedule, letting them direct the trade-off between opportunistic use of limit orders and risk that a basket will get out of the desired ratio.

TradeEngine is the only algorithmic offering that provides portfolio-level correlative effects, decaying and arbitrary alpha, quantitative risk aversion, portfolio-aware risk optimization, multiday trade scheduling, intraday time-of-day effects and integrated exposure to crossing networks.

Pragma's suite of advanced algorithms includes:
  • Arrival price
  • Adaptive arrival price
